Refund policy

Steyp works two ways in the UAE, and money moves differently in each. An institution commissions a program under a written proposal, and that proposal carries its own commercial terms. A parent or an adult learner pays for a place in an open cohort, and this page is where that is written down.

No payment is taken through this website. Nothing you submit here charges you anything.

Refunds, cancellation charges, rescheduling and credits for sessions not delivered are governed by the signed proposal or agreement between Steyp and the institution, not by this page. That document is the contract, and where it and this site differ, the signed document governs.

It is where the following are agreed, and this site states none of them:

• any deposit, mobilisation charge or cancellation schedule,
• the notice an institution has to give to postpone or cancel, and what is payable inside that notice,
• what the institution receives where Steyp cannot deliver contracted sessions, whether that is a rescheduled session or a credit,
• the number of registrations a cohort needs in order to run.

If you hold a proposal and are not sure what it says about a cancellation, ask us and we will go through it with you.

This is the direct track: a parent or an adult learner registers into a cohort we are running and pays for that cohort. Three rules cover it.

Cancelling before the program starts

You get a full refund of what you have paid. Tell us before the first session. You do not have to give a reason.

Once the program has started

A place cannot be cancelled once the program has started, and the fee is not refunded. That includes sessions the learner does not attend.

If Steyp cancels

If we cancel the program, you get a full refund of what you have paid.

Take-home hardware, where it is offered, is bought separately and is not part of the program fee, so the three rules above do not apply to it. Your rights over faulty goods are unaffected.

• Email hello@steyp.com from the address used to register.
• Include the learner's name, the program, the cohort dates and what you are asking for.
• We acknowledge the request and tell you what we can do.
• An approved refund is paid back to the method the fee was paid with.

Nothing on this page removes a right you have under UAE consumer protection law, including Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection, or under the law of the country you are in where it applies to us. If a service is not delivered as described, the law stands whatever this page says.

This page is about money. Cancelling and rescheduling a session, substituting a trainer, damaged equipment and the ownership of student work are dealt with in the terms of service.
